Product notes

Coriander seeds are the dried fruits of the coriander plant, an aromatic herb that has been cultivated since ancient times. Round in shape and ranging in colour from beige to light brown, they are prized for their delicate aroma and their great versatility in cooking.

Their mild and subtle flavour differs from that of coriander leaves. The seeds develop warm, lemony and slightly sweet notes, with a hint of orange peel and mild spices.

Widely used in cuisines around the world, they feature in numerous spice blends such as curries, masalas and certain Middle Eastern blends. They also add flavour to vegetables, meat, fish, marinades, sauces, stews and preserves.

When lightly roasted or crushed before use, coriander seeds release their full aroma and add a refined flavour to dishes. Prised for their mildness and digestive properties, they are a staple of fragrant and creative cuisines.
