Cookie policy

Full transparency about what we store on your device — and how to stay in control.

This page explains what a cookie is, which ones Saveurs du Marché uses, for what purpose, and how to change or withdraw your consent at any time. You stay in control.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file stored on your device (computer, tablet, phone) when you visit a website. It remembers information between pages or between visits — for example the contents of your basket, or the fact that you are signed in.

We also use similar technologies (browser local storage). For simplicity, we call them all “cookies”.

Do you need my consent?

For cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work, no: they are essential and are not used to track you. For any other cookie, your consent is requested before anything is stored, in line with the GDPR and the recommendations of the CNIL (the French data protection authority).

Special case: our audience measurement stores no cookie at all (details below). Although exempt from consent under CNIL guidance, it can be switched off at any time in the settings.

Which cookies do we use?

Strictly necessary cookies (no consent required)

  • Sign-in session — keeps your account securely signed in (technical cookie, not readable by scripts).
  • Basket — remembers the items you added so you can pick up your order where you left it.
  • Wishlist — keeps your favourite products.
  • Cookie choice — remembers the decision you make on the banner, so we don't keep asking.

Audience measurement (cookieless)

To know which pages and products are viewed, we use audience measurement without any cookie: nothing is stored on or read from your device.

In practice, each visit is counted under an anonymous fingerprint that changes every day; your IP address is never kept and your browsing cannot be followed from one day to the next. We only see aggregate statistics (number of visits, most viewed pages).

This system, exempt from consent under CNIL guidance, remains in your hands: you can object at any time by unticking “Audience measurement” in the settings below.

Google advertising and measurement (with your consent)

To promote the shop, we run Google advertising campaigns. If — and only if — you accept the “Google advertising and measurement” category, Google Analytics stores cookies (“_ga”, “_ga_*”) to count visits and measure the effectiveness of these campaigns (for example: a purchase after clicking an ad).

These cookies expire after thirteen months at the latest and the data collected is sent to Google (see Google's privacy policy). If you decline, no Google script or cookie is loaded — the website works exactly the same.

How do I manage or withdraw my consent?

You can reopen the settings panel at any time and change your preferences, category by category:

If you are signed in to your account, your choice is saved on your account and follows you from one device to another. If you browse without an account, your choice is only kept for the duration of your visit: the banner is shown again on each new visit, so you remain in charge of your decision.

You can also configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent some features (basket, sign-in) from working properly.
