Terms and conditions of sale
This English translation is provided for convenience. In case of discrepancy, the French version (« Conditions générales de vente ») prevails.
1. Purpose and acceptance
These terms and conditions of sale govern the sale of products offered on the Saveurs du Marché website by Alain Grégoire (sole trader, “OLIVES ET COMPAGNIES”), whose registered office is at 1 Ancien chemin de Tourves, 83470 Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume, France.
Placing an order implies full acceptance of these terms, which the customer declares having read and accepted before confirming the order.
2. Products
The products (spices, herbs, peppers, confectionery) are foodstuffs presented as accurately as possible. Photographs are not contractually binding. Products are offered while stocks last.
Information about origin, storage and allergens is given on the product pages. If in doubt (allergies in particular), contact us before ordering.
3. Prices
Prices are shown in euros, all taxes included, excluding delivery costs. Delivery costs are calculated and displayed before the order is confirmed.
Saveurs du Marché reserves the right to change its prices at any time; products are invoiced at the rate in force when the order is confirmed.
4. Ordering
Orders can be placed with a customer account or as a guest (no account required). The sale is concluded when the customer confirms the order and the payment is confirmed. A confirmation email summarises the order.
5. Secure payment
Payment is made online, at your choice, via Stancer (an authorised French payment provider) or PayPal. Card details are entered on the provider's secure environment and never pass through our servers.
The order only becomes final once the payment has been effectively confirmed by the provider.
6. Delivery
In mainland France, delivery is made to a Mondial Relay pick-up point chosen by the customer when ordering. In the rest of Europe (see the list of countries at checkout), orders are delivered to your address by Colissimo, at the rates displayed before payment. Indicative delivery times are stated when ordering; possible delays do not give rise to cancellation or compensation.
For France, delivery costs are calculated on the total weight of the basket:
- Up to 500 g: €4.90
- Up to 1 kg: €5.90
- Up to 2 kg: €7.50
- Up to 3 kg: €8.90
- Up to 5 kg: €10.90
- Over 5 kg: free delivery
- Orders of €100 or more: free delivery
Free delivery in France applies as soon as either condition is met (basket over 5 kg or total of €100 or more), to the customer's benefit.
7. Right of withdrawal
In accordance with article L.221-18 of the French Consumer Code, you have in principle 14 days to withdraw from your purchase.
However, under article L.221-28 of the same code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly, or for unsealed products that cannot be returned for hygiene or health protection reasons. Most of our foodstuffs fall within this scope and are therefore neither taken back nor exchanged once opened.
For eligible, unopened products, contact us at contact@saveurs-du-marche.fr before any return.
8. Warranties
Customers benefit from the legal warranty of conformity (articles L.217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) and the warranty against hidden defects (articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code). If a product is faulty, non-compliant or damaged on delivery, contact us promptly with a photo so we can find a solution (replacement or refund).

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first, by contacting us directly.
Failing resolution, in accordance with articles L.612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, you may use, free of charge, the consumer mediator we are affiliated with: CM2C — Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de justice, 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris — www.cm2c.net. You can refer a case to the mediator directly online on its website.
