Product notes

Thyme is an aromatic herb that is synonymous with Mediterranean cuisine. Its small leaves give off a powerful, warm and slightly camphor-like fragrance that adds character and authenticity to many dishes.

An essential ingredient in the kitchen, thyme deliciously flavours meat, poultry, fish, vegetables, sauces, marinades and slow-cooked dishes. It is also a key component of the famous bouquet garni and herbes de Provence.

Highly prized as a herbal tea, thyme is traditionally used for its comforting properties and pleasant aroma. Its intense flavour means that only small quantities are needed to enhance dishes whilst maintaining a balance of flavours.

Tips for use: add at the start of cooking to allow the flavours to develop fully. For a herbal tea, leave to infuse for 5 to 10 minutes in gently simmering water before drinking.
